Substrate (Again)

Was just wondering what was the best/ most popular substrate for tortoises

I use cypress mulch for my leo's You have a Hermann's right ? what are you using now?

Yes Phoe is a hermanns, I'm using a soil/sand substrate with added calcium

I just looked at your other post about substrate you never posted a pic of the bag can you post one so we can see what your talking about soil with calcium added?

I don't know why manufacturers put calcium in their substrates. It does nothing but encourage some species to eat it on purpose. Accident waiting to happen.

I'm using Sphagnum Peat moss (bottom) Cypress mulch (top)
