Still occasionally moving whilst in hibernation

We hidernated our horsefield 4 weeks ago but we still hear him moving "digging sometimes". The thermostat show temp is good 2 to 8 did raise above because weather so mild a couple of times,he is 8 in good health put on lots of weight over summer.it is our first year as owners but we know this previous owners well he had hidernated before.any advice please craig

I wouldn't worry too much they will move or try and dig deeper . sometimes mine even come up and dig back down. Some of mine do just knock out and see them in spring tho

Mine shifts about from time to time occasionally too. When you say the temperature shifted above 8, how much above and for how long? That will rouse a tortoise and it will take time to settle again.

Ideal hibernation temp should be 4-5 for a horsfield. 8 is too warm in my experience.
