my spur thigh has a small black spot on the bottom of his shell could this be from hatching hes only about 5 months old maybe a imblical type of a thing left over

It coul be Umbilical thing, or it could be your baby tortoise getting its colorations on its plastron

Hi Clark,
Are you able to provide a photo of the underside of your tort so that we can have a look.I have hatchlings from this year that have tiny black marks forming on the plastron.Is the mark in the centre of the plastron?

my camera is missing but i can tell u this its near dead center towards hes rear on hes belly.
