Spot on the underside of my baby cherry head

I'm just worried about this spot on the underside of my tortoise. Is it normal as a baby some of it came off with a cleaning with a soft toothbrush but I'm not sure if its any sort of an infection he/she might have. Can someone help out? Please and thank you.

Welcome to the Forum, SuperDuperDylan!

I THINK what "came off" was the vestiges of the dried up yolk sac from when the tortoise was in the egg. Normally we let this fall off by itself, and then the plastron is totally closed up and healed. Since you have knocked it off, I think it would be best to dab a bit of antibiotic ointment on the spot until it heals up.
