Softish plastron?

I have noticed my baby's plastron is not hard, it's not soft either, just kind of springing? Is it normal? I have also noticed there sometimes is a little dip in it, and I have associated that with being not as hydrated as he should be... Is this a correct assessment?

Normal, it will be pliable or awhile.

Babies are normally kinda soft and will harden with time.
