He has improved A LOT in one week! When i got him i noticed he had a pale pink tongue, his colour was not as bright. He 1 week ago measured 4.3 inches, today it was 4.9 in :O last week he weighted 5.2 oz, today it was 5.8 oz yay! Today i noticed his tongue is bright pink! Yay! Is it good that he is growing like that? He spent 2 years being the size of a hatchling. Due to poor diet and lack of sunlight! Many people here in my country think that they take 10 years or more to grow. I have a friend who recently told me she have a tortoise her tortoise is about 14 in it took it 10 years to get to that size. My friend thought her tortoise wouldn't anymore....

Well done Keto!
They will thrive with the right conditions and diet, but even then they can grow at different rates.
I believe I read somewhere here that a healthy tortoise mouth should be pale pink and a reptile specialist vet confirmed that last year, but my tort's tongue does get darker when he is eating.
I'm sure someone with more experience of looking at tortoise mouths will jump in here soon.

Bright, wet eyes.
Head and limbs strong.
My oldest Redfoot is about 9 or 10 and still growing.
My 28 year old that I got almost dead...Grew again after she was well. And has continued to grow in her new home.
They grow at different rates. Some faster. Some slower.
I don't think I've ever had a REDFOOT that wasn't still growing and getting heavier.
Growth itself is a sign of health.
The first indication I have that one is sick is runny poo and sluggishness with weak limbs. But it just doesn't happen much.
