Small flys

I have like little flys on the hot side, it is clean no food or waste and it fresh ground covering Forest Floor Cypress Mulch. Any ideas on why all of a sudden I have these ? I've had my guy almost a year now and I never had these flus before

They are pretty normal. They hatch out of the substrate as far as I know. Even when substrate is baked, they eventually come back. I notice them more with a humid environment. Don't know the whys.

Yep. I've pretty much just accepted them as a way of life now.

I've never encountered them with my orchid bark. (Indoors)
I use cypress mulch in my OUTDOOR pens, and they may or may not be in there. I can't tell.
