My Sulcuta (1 1/2 years) had recent hard like callus / skin tag on the back of neck. I’ve been using tea tree oil, any other recommendations?

It needs to be removed. If he knocks it off withdrawing his head when you're not around he may lose a lot of blood.

It looks like it is quite big! What did it look like before you treated it?
What made you try to treat it? Was it sore? Did it look like normal skin?

It was a new bump, it was very dry like a callus, tree tea oil is usually great with skin conditions, so tried that. It didn’t look normal, that’s why I tried oil. Couldn’t say it’s sore, he/she eats drinks well, no issue, it was more me and me seeing it there.

The only idea I have would be this...take a length of dental floss and tie it around the very base of the growth. Tie it tight, but don't break the skin. Clip the ends fairly short.

The floss will cut off the blood supply to the growth, and it should fall off in several days.

I've never needed something like that, but I sure would use it if I needed to! I don't know if it's tort safe, though.

I've heard pressing a slice of bread on it will help stop bleeding too, but don't know if it's true.
