Hello all,
Our Greek Tortoise Gouda seems to have some kind of skin infection that we first noticed this morning. Pictures are attached. She has not been eating normally for the past few weeks and we thought this was simply due to the changing of the season. The past 3 or 4 days, she has been scratching her face and opening her mouth often, like a yawn but for longer periods of time. This morning we realized she had these skin issues, they kind of look like scabs by her mouth and also on her butt. I dont think we noticed them at first because they almost just look like wet dirt on her face.
Any ideas of what this could be? We did change up her substrate a few months back with top soil, but now plan to change it up again to coir. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. We plan to take her to the vet if need be first thing tomorrow. Thank you!
