Hey guys and gals! So I've decided to do a little makeover on my baby stars' humid enclosure. I'll try to talk my way through the build. Hope you guys and gals enjoy. ImageUploadedByTortForum1391746177.217948.jpg
I'm using 1/2" single side finished ply. ImageUploadedByTortForum1391746294.118267.jpg
This is the start of the top. Just making sure the shoe fits.

Success! The cuts are straight and true. No need to run back to Lowes for another board stretcher.

Holes are drilled for light bulb fixtures and plumbing.

More to come tomorrow.

So the lid build is complete. Two coats of stain are on with the last one drying. On to the electrical stuff. I'm putting in 2xCHE on one side that will run off a thermostat. The other side will have a MVB on a timer 12hr.

It looks like you screewed them lamp holders right to the plywood with no box . If you did you can get a box called a 4/0 pancake box . The come in metal and plastic at Home Depot for a dollar or two . Then you can get a cgb cord connector to wire in your lamp cords . So you do not have yourself a fire hazard . Besides that I think you did an awesome job on it .

Thanks Mike I'll pick some up. I appreciate the input man. I know only the very basics of electrical work from a class I took 20 years age in high school.

So I finished up the lid last night. There's a few minor things to do yet but the setup looks way cleaner than before.
