I needed to build a quick and easy outdoor tortoise habitat to quarantine a new tortoise I got, and after a few round of brainstorming to find the right materials for building this habitat, which I've considered using either 2x6, cinderblock, and large water trough, and at the end I chose this Galvanized Raised Garden Beds Kits (66"x36"x12"H) from Amazon. It was around $50 when I picked it up during the Thanksgiving weekend, and it should be a fairly easy built and would withstand the outdoor weather.

The item arrived promptly in a rather flat box, and everything is in good condition.
It took me about an hour to put all the pieces together as there are about 64 nuts and bolts to connect.
I roughly decorated the interior with mixture of top soil and play sands in the raised basking/nesting area, and add a few pieces of tiles as walking ramp.
I placed the tortoise inside the habitat to test out the ramp, and the tortoise had no problem going up the ramp to get to the higher ground.
Now the tortoise reached the high ground and spotted a beautiful hibiscus flower.
Gong for the flower in no time.
I've added a few pieces of metal screen to cover the habitat to keep the racoons out of the habitat. It's a necessary step to keep the nested eggs safe if there are any.
So...just want to show a quick and easy way to put together a outdoor tortoise habitat... nothing fancy, just functional. I will add a few more furniture inside the habitat so the tortoise will have a nice comfy place to hide and rest.
