Sight barriers?

I have 2 small leopards torts in a glass enclosure, I've seen pix where paper has been taped around the tank, I'm assuming this is to prevent their torts from seeing beyond the glass? Mine don't seem too bothered with what's past the glass, they're to busy with their food and water dishes when not in their hide. I currently have them set up in my bedroom (because there's not any activity in there at all during the day and at night everyone's asleep) until the kitchen pen is done. My question is, is a sight barrier really necessary when not having one doesn't seem to be an issue for either of them at all?

Thank you for your help in advance. :)

I've seen a lot of setups without some sort of lining around the perimeter. I would think that if your torts aren't bothered by the "invisible barrier" then I wouldn't worry about it.

Up to you and your tortoises if you need/want them or not. None of mine that are in clear sided enclosures have any barriers. Normally when I refer to a sight barrier, I am talking about things within the enclosure like plants, rocks, logs, ect to keep one tortoise from seeing it's roommate all the time.
