this thread gives me an odd sense of deja vu...

Your post made me do a search for a previous thread about the same subject, and I was surprised to find one. So I've merged them into one thread. Thanks for the heads up!!

For reference, this is what she looked like when she was more of a high heat animal.

You have the disease, Will. The addiction. :)

Based on my guess of your age from photos I have seen, I've had the 'disease' longer than you have been alive. But like most life long maladies it does not define me, it is me. First chelonian pets held before the Beetles broke up, before man walked on the moon, way back when even money was still made of silver. Will

That is a magnificent specimen. An exemplary showcase for Pardalis. Wanda stock?

Yeah, one of hers.

Here is the young male. A light colored sibling to the dark one shown.

Woweeeeeee! That's the best looking leo I've ever seen! How big is he/she? Looks huge on the pic.

He still has a ways to go. Only about 9 inches at this point, but he's growing extremely fast right now. Has almost doubled in size over a year.

They look great, Will. I'm so proud!!!

(These are babcocks, and are being raised in a closed chamber.)

Will, I like the look of your leopards very much. :)

@ Baoh, are there any threads where you spell out your methods for raising leopards? Yours look smooth and I assume you've raised them. However, I can't seem to find anything where you explain your husbandry methods.

Maybe. Not sure if I posted my style here or elsewhere. Out of my remaining four leopards, I have raised only two from the very beginning. Those two are in this thread. I also have one youngling that I bought with mild pyramiding and one with moderate-high pyramiding. Here is an old photo of my group of Gpp het sh when younger that I posted here once before. Most of these have been resold as I have consolidated the number of projects I am working with, but a small number remain for now. I expect to retain only the dark one at most out of my Gpp het sunset hypo animals.

I keep all of my tortoise species in similar environmental conditions.

I like the darker one Boah. I tend to favor the opposing typical or generalized like that most people tend to have for leopards. Everyone wants a blonde I like the black or darker ones. I certainly have both. But looks are never a determining purchase factor for me.

Here are some of mine again. (More recent Photos at least)

Blondie loves the water.

And here is the little straggler that took 9 months to hatch.

Ooooooh the "straggler" is so cute! I, too, am not determined by looks. Id purchase a pyramided bumpy dark old buggar anyday. I just love leopards!

In fact, when I got my leo he was a pyramided dark little baby buggar :D he's a lot lighter now.

Yeah I only got Blondie because she can't use her back legs. She has progressed a lot. She dug her a nest a few days ago. I've seen about 13-20% improvement on her. She's starting to stand up right and not drag her back legs. I also have a very large female leopard that is all jacked up. She actually started the sanctuary portion of our organization 10 years ago. I will post pics of her. She's like 20+" around 30+ pounds. Never lays eggs. but she's an awesome animal.

This is Fiona. I have had her for 10 years. These are photos the day I got her. I will get some new ones of her this weekend. Shes a biggen now.
