RE: Do torts get lonely or bored?

Aubrey, until they are several years old, it's almost impossible to tell with any degree of accuracy whether you have a girl or boy.

Hi Aubrey:

I've moved both of your questions off the other thread. When you are not responding to someone's post, you need to start a new thread. That way our members will realize you are asking a different question.

What kind of tortoise do you have? How old/big is it?

Two males will eventually battle until one is dead...

A single male and a single female will be making the female's life hell on earth...2 or 3 (or more) females w/ one male will be OK, because he'll be spreading his "reproductive glee" around between them about equally, so no one gets all stressed to death.

OTOH, a tortoise can be very happy living solitary, as in the wild they're solitary about 99% of their lives.
