Sexing

Hi,
Could anyone give me a hand with sexing my little spur thighed tortoise.(Digory)! I've attached some pictures. He's roughly 4 years old so I don't know whether that's too young to tell yet!?!

Too small to sex. They all look female at that size.

I thought it might have been too early. Roughly what age can you determine the sex?!

It's more of breeding size than age, since the size can differ greatly in some torts the same age.

I adopted him about 2 weeks ago, yes I'm aware he is pyramiding. He was kept in a vivarium in his old him but don't worry he's in a tortoise table now with the correct humidity etc! He's roughly 4 years this month (DEFRA certificate says hatched between June and July 2009)
Is he slightly small for his age then?!

Well mine are one year older and the 17 inches and 15.5 inches and they did not grew so much from 4—5 . I guess the owner before keppt him in a small space and with not to much food what he need, but dont worry he will pick up and grow since he came to a good home, also i live in south fl so the weather is perfect for them. Where do u live
