Sexing Stars or torts

I need you'll to help confirm with me on distinguishing between male/female stars.
For the female, the plastron on top of the tail is more rounded like a moon crest while my males tail is a little longer although he is smaller than the bigger star and the shell plastron on top of the tail is more pointed in an upside down ‘v’ shape, am I correct?
I hope I am as I want male and female. My stars are now still young around 2-2.5” in carapace length.

I THINK what Terry is saying is that they're still a bit small to be sure.

The smaller one seems like a male to me judging from the tail, I hope I'm correct.

My 7" female made eggs.

And from what I've seen here..

..this is the group that mine came from. The males were not much more than 5" and the females around 8+".

They sure do look bigger than 8 inches in the photo

It looks to me like IMG00131 0015 is a female and IMG00126 0013 is a male.
