It's been a little over 2 months since putting the collars on the 4 dogs, didn't get any collars for the cats. The cats never spend any real time outside, but usually got fleas on them from what the dogs would carry in. Well we haven't seen the first flea on any of the dogs or cats, This is a first for us here at the beach, I don't treat any of the outside property with any kind of chemical to kill bugs except for Terro ant killer baits, And sometimes wasp and hornet spray. Last year I was spending close to $80 a month for comfortis and capstar to help get rid of the fleas, but could always find fleas when bathing the dogs. If theses last as long as advertised, 8 months will cost $240. Much cheaper than anything I've used before and the collars really do work. Now if someone could come up with a simple 8 month cure for mosquitos life would be so much better here at the beach.

I work in the veterinary industry and have heard nothing but good things about Serestro, though I don't have any personal experience with the collars (I work in a city and exclusively with cats, so our population is almost 100% indoors, and we usually recommend spot-on broad spectrum parasite control for them).

My dogs' vet has recommended it though, and I've heard great things.

One day 2 neighbor dogs that weren't really cared for well I guess snuck into my yard, invested my yard with fleas and my dog and took forever to fix the problem, tried collars and all. And finally the vets came out with a new flea pill and heartworm pill, and the flea pill fixed everything. It's like a little treat.

Best for cats, there are better oral flea/tick control products for dogs

So far there is nothing better for us, can't do any better than zero fleas. Not a single flea on a cat or dog and the cats are not wearing collars, they are inside cats, but they all hang out together when inside.
