Living in upstate ny my adult Russian is eating mostly mazuri and store bought foods are there any sites that sell the better stuff online? I have bought some Herbal hay from Tortoise supply so that is an option as well. 2nd question can adult Russians eat mushrooms?

What would you describe as “better stuff?” In winter Mazuri plus some herbal hay on top of grocery store foods is not at all the worst thing your tortoise can have.

You might consider growing an opuntia cactus in your window. It’s a great food that’s easy to grow and doesn’t need much space or light. Tortoise Supply sells cactus pads you plant or you can buy one on Amazon. You’ll probably need to give it six to twelve months to get to the point of having enough to harvest but hey, your tortoise is going to live at least fifty more years; you’ve got the time!

I let my Russian have a medium size regular white mushroom a few times a year. I’m sure she’d eat more if I let her, she loves them. Not a regular food, though.
