Bean is finishing up his Flagyl treatment. His poop has a normal shape and structure now and does not contain mucus but it is still mostly composed of undigested food.
He digests romaine lettuce better than anything else, but I prefer not to feed him just lettuce. I fed squash, sweet potato, and various greens besides romaine but a lot of it comes out in little undigested chunks.
I’m giving Benebac with every feeding.
Should I try a different probiotic or only feed lettuce until his gut resumes normal functioning? Or will his gut flora continue to be destroyed until the Flagyl treatment ends?
