I took in a small leopard tortoise from @RubyG a couple months ago and I just wanted to let her know how well he's doing.
He eats very well. I never have to get him out of the hide at meal time. He's walking more normally all the time now. Occasionally his back legs go out to the sides, but most of the time he's able to get them up under him and walk normally.
I have high hopes that this young tortoise is going to be perfectly normal when he gets big, and you won't be able to tell at all that he had MBD at this young age.
This little tortoise has wormed his way into my heart, and will live here with me the rest of his life.
Thank you for thinking of me when it came time to rehome him, RubyG!!
Not a very good picture, but "Ruby" is the tortoise at the mouth of the hide. She has split scutes, so I'm hoping she's female:
