We got this tort this weekend from Petsmart. I usually never buy any animals from there but I felt sorry for him. We soaked him yesterday. He is eating great! So please tell me what everyone thinks.

I think he looks good, but I don't know much (new to tortoises as of August last year). Just being out of whatever glass aquarium I'm sure he was housed in at the store has to be doing him a world of good. It is great that he is eating well, it looks like you can see the evidence on his face. [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

He's a very handsome fellow! I'm glad you rescued him- and I bet HE's MORE glad!!!

It is a very pretty tortoise and looks fine but if you want to be sure take him for a check up

I would ask Chris from Hermanni Heaven what kind it is. It looks like a hybrid, but could be a T.h.hermanni.or hybrid boettgeri /dalmatian?

Yes, a beautiful one you have!! But the plastron does look like Western and the face looks like an Eastern. LOL I could be wrong though. I'm new at this too.

What a lucky (might I add beautiful) tortoise! Id love to know what kind of species she/he is. The petsmart over here like to call their tortoises "assorted."
