Hey so I got a new enclosure for my redfoot and I noticed that my temps are 81 degrees at the hotter parts and mid-high 70s on the colder parts. Is this okay or should I try and increase the temperature? The redfoot is ~7 months old!

You should try to get it to be at least 80F all over the whole habitat. RF tortoises don't need a warm/cool gradient.

With my Redfoot I have 80 as the coolest spot and under her basking spot 95. Yvonne is right about not needing a basking spot, as long as your ambient temperatures are in the 80's, but I like to have it because she goes under it after a soak to warm up.

I would definitely not have any temperatures below 80, especially with a youngin!

80 is good. Hotter than 88 to 90 and mine look for shade. Below 75 is too cool, although mine that are outside stay there until about 65 degrees and are all healthy.
