This is a little bit of an odd question and I don't think there is a "right" answer.

I have a Redfoot hatchling currently in a table enclosure on my patio (I'm in SW Florida). But I work from home and I'm stuck at my computer 10+ hours a day, and I miss him during the day! I want to spend more time with him.

I'm thinking about moving his enclosure inside next to my desk so I can see him during the day. I know I will have to watch his heat and humidity more if he is inside.

My other thought is to have a smaller enclosure inside and move him between the two (so evenings and weekends outside, weekdays inside). Would that stress him out?

If it's a Hatchling you need a closed chamber system with high humidity for the first few years. Whether outside or inside. That's going to be the easiest way to grow a nice smooth tort.

Thanks Todd. I'll definitely monitor the humidity carefully. In SW Florida we have high humidity most of the time, but I've been keeping his hide area extra humid.
