I got this redfoot 1 month ago from a kid that was selling it off craigslist. It is pretty pyramided, but seems like it is ok other than being kind of dehydrated and stressed.

Here it was when I got it:

It seems to have a very yellow plastron, compared to my other 5.

I took a fecal sample to the vet and it doesn't have any parasites. It seems to be healthy, I haven't seen any sign of illness. I think I will put it outside with my 5 redfoots this weekend. Maybe it will be happier out there. I don't think there will be any problems with all of them getting along.

It also looks very light skinned compared to my other 5, which appear to be more black. Maybe they have tans.

I'm so glad you got him. He definitely was dehydrated and stressed looking. He looks so much better now. Just keep an eye out when you put him in with the others. He's the new guy on the block, and they may try to bully him. Best to you both. Great job!

Definitely looking better! But those eyes tell me he could probably stand some more hydration. It's a slow process, unfortunately. Just be sure to feed him lots of moisture rich foods (or, if possible, mazuri that's been soaking in water until it's almost mush (5-10mins)).
