Red Ear Slider Nesting

One of my long term captive Red Ears was nesting this morning so I took some pics of her process.I happened by as she was completing the nest digging,Then came the first egg She laid 7 eggs After each egg she would use her left leg to set it in the proper place,When finished she started filling the nest And when finished this what she left behindI will leave the eggs in place to hatch naturally.

When I first noticed her digging the nest she had already seen me, so I backed off. There is a solid barrier so she couldn't see me walking up to where she was. When they start laying they don't pay attention to what going on around them, It's like they go into a trance.

Sometimes that happens. And if they hatch I've already found a home for one of them.
