All ready for this hatchling season! This is my new aldabra hatchling area i build several months ago. It is thriving with many types of grass and weeds. It is elevated about 12" above the ground with drainage ports and auto-irrigation. The rear is a built in shade/hide area. We keep our aldabra hatchlings in this area during the day usually for the first thirty days until they are sold. The picture was taken from within our florida room for easy and constant observation when the pen is occupied.

What do you mean by being elevated12 inch above the ground?

The dirt was leveled and raised above the normal ground level to aid in drainage and avoid any possibility of flooding!

Here is a front view that might help with the answer!

Very nice enclosure for the hatchlings.

Greg, I would like to have a question. How many times and how long you turn on the water sprayer in a day? Is it okay for the hatchling to get wet a lot?

Thank you.
