I weighed/measured Davey today & he/she is pretty close to 4 1/2 inches long & weighs 9 1/4 ounces. I was wanting to know if this was a good weight for a redfoot of that size. And I also wanted to know about how old Davey would be. I included a couple of pics I took today just for fun:)

at 4 1/2" your looking around 2 years old. good weight. I judge the weight by if they feel solid or not. Lots of times when i get new ones in they are way under weight feel really light for their size.

There's a simple formula for estimating proper weight for size provided by Dr. Donohue:

SLC(cubed) x 0.191 = expected weight in grams.
SLC - Straight line carapace (in cm)
