Pyramiding?

Starting to pyramid? She is already pyramided for some time. How long have you had your redfoot.
This normally happens in the first year of life - the tortoise being kept too dry right after hatching and up to about a year of age. If you correct the conditions the growth MAY start to smooth out, but maybe not.
How old is your redfoot? Do you know?
About the same age or close to my rescue. The best you can do now is give her the best diet possible and humidity and exercise. You wont lose the pyramiding. She will just be bumpy, is what i call it. But she will grow in a little different. I would suggest one of two things...i dont like the coir you have her on too messy. ( my opinion) you can either replace it or best way to keep the humidity up is to put cypress mulch or repti bark on top of it. Reason being is that they get shell rot easily. This will keep the moisture away from her shell...I also give my guy a soak daily, which is alot, but it doesnt hurt. He enjoys it anyways...

Awww Ruben is adorable! I was thinking of changing substrate cause your right very messy. And I always do daily soaks with all my babies they love it! I'm gonna keep the good diet going. Her humidity and temp is always monitered as well. So hopefully she will just be a little bumpy and I can keep it from getting really bad.
The one on the left is the rescue again (jethra)....the one on the right I bought from petco 2 years ago (tswift for tortoise swift) her shells fine so I was worried about jethras but thanks again for the tips!
