Powersun light

Hey everyone, so i bought the powersun bulb because it provides uva uvb and a basking light all in one. I noticed that it shuts off on its own so i read the manual. It has an auto shut off for when it gets too hot and it takes 15 mins for it to reset.
Questions to anyone that ise this bulb
1.How long is the interval of it being on before it considers itself getting too hot.
2.does that 15 min hurt my sully of not having the light on for the duration of reset.
3. Am i better off using a separate uva/uvb and basking that way they always have heat.

I have a feeling 3 is the best option but i wanna hear ur opinions on wether its harmful or not. Powersun has 4.5 stars out of 5 so im guessing it works? Tell me pls. Thank you

Do you have the bulb in a proper sized light fixture? If so, it should not be over-heating unless it is defective. I have used them for years and I have not had this problem. Also the PowerSun bulb is guaranteed for 1 year. Save your receipt and the box and if the bulb goes bad all you have to do is mail it back and they will ship you a new one. Do you have the bulb in a proper sized light fixture? If so, it should not be over-heating unless it is defective. I have used them for years and I have not had this problem. Also the PowerSun bulb is guaranteed for 1 year. Save your receipt and the box and if the bulb goes bad all you have to do is mail it back and they will ship you a new one. Thank you for the response. I figured out what was wrong. There was something something wrong with the switch circuit. I used my other dome and it’s working well.
