poo eating?

Yes, poo eating. My cooter eats his poo. Fresh too.. not old poo, well there is never any poo cuz he eats it. Is that common?

My red eared sliders eat their poo all the time. I can't stop them!!

It's gross! But I believe it's common. Many animals do this.. I wouldn't worry about it :) they're little poop heads!!! :)

Agreed there. On a side note I tried to give L.T. a piece of orange and well he didn't like it. So I sat it down on the table next to the turtle tank and forgot about it. Latter that evening my husband ate it thinking I had forgot to eat a piece of orange. I was like did you just eat that?!? He said yes, then I told him it was in the turtle tank.lol

A friend of mine told me the other day that retires in the wild will eat their old skin to help keep predators from finding them. Maybe poop eating is the same idea?
