I have a pond for my redfoots,....its not very deep,6 inches at the most, then it slowly declines like a beach. The tortoises never use it or soak, and I wish there was a way that i could allow that if they will. Any suggestions? The bottom is rock and it may be unstable or uncomfortable to them.
Do redfoots soak regulary by themselves if a pond is provided? When i water the plants they will walk through the puddles like they arent there, and it can get 4 inches in some areas, but they just ignore the pond. My last option is to remove the pond all together and i would hate to do that, but if they dont use it i may. The pond is just taking up space if i cant get them to use it.
