Hi Tyler! Is it sunk down to ground level for them? Also, since a tortoise has the eternal quest to see what is ontop of a hill...lol....did you try to drape alot of plants around the top to try to disguise the hill/high pointy top of it? Those are the only things I can think of right now :D

I bet the others will offer some good suggestions as well....

Angela's idea is what I would go with, definitely want to make it as flush to the ground as possible..

Most tortoises flip when trying to get in and out of a water dish.

I would love to see pics when you have it all fixed up. Big momma sounds more like a big trouble maker :p, biting you, knocking things over, she sure keeps you busy.:D I love that her eyes can smooth it all out.

I was thinking maybe she flips over trying to crawl into it. to small would make it difficult to climb into it, and the she might flip herself over while trying to get into it. MY RF loves to climb into his water bowl,.

They do have another big waterbowl they can fit into , in the enclosure too! :)

Also, She tipped herself in it a few days after i got it when she was still very adgetated and climbing everywhere...so that might be why too..! :)

Tyler, it would be worth putting a couple of big rocks in the table for Big Momma and Tiago to scramble over. They will tip up occasionally, but practice makes perfect. You could take the rocks out if you're not going to be around to keep an eye on things.

The more practice they get at righting themselves the better.

Joe is a regular mountaineer and hardly ever goes wrong on even the highest climbs these days.
