Hey guys I'm working on an outdoor enclosure for my Russian tort, Frankie. I'm still very new to all of this so I need some help. I'm looking to plant things in his enclosure that would either be good for shade or for him to eat. Any suggestions?

Lavatera, hibiscus, mulberry trees, grape vines, spineless opuntia cactus pads, gazanias, Testudo seed mixes, geraniums, squash plants... The list is endless.

Just don't buy any plants from a nursery and then plant them in your enclosure. They are full of systemic pesticides that take a year to dissipate. Grow from seed, transplant them from safe sources, or find an organic nursery that does it themselves.

Okay thank you! Would you also happen to know if it's safe to use any kind of rocks in an enclosure?
