Well I did it, I still have a lot of work to do and many ideas in my head, I am a full time student now, so I haven't had as much free time as I used to.... sigh!!! :(

Please tell me what you guys think..... and if you have any suggestions. I know that the borders need work, but I have 3 more bags of untreated pebbles in my car that I plan on using to fill some of those small gaps with. I am also getting some bricks, and he loves crawling under milk crates so I am having my boyfriend bring some home from work tonight.

He is already trying to climb up the corners, but every time I have seen his attempts he has failed and fallen backwards on his shell.... do you think I should make the wall taller?? He is barely as big as my hand, so still a juvenile I guess... but he sure can stretchhhhh!!!!

Much more to come, thanks!!!! :tort::shy:

Looks nice. I would cap the corners so he can't climb out. Add some hides and a big shallow water dish. Not sure where you live but edible plants would be nice.

what species of tort do you have? the enclosure area is gorgeous but more plants would be interesting and make sure that the bush with the yellow flowers is edible for your baby. i would def work on the border due to he will grow and one day be able to crawl out. imo i would make the fence at least one more board taller and as suggested before put a lip on it so he cant crawl over. im in the middle of an enclosure myself too and have to put a cover for him due to the large amount of predatory birds.

Thanks you guys, He is a California dessert tot....

plants are next, I plan on working on that tomorrow among other things. I looked up the yellow daisy bush before beginning construction and it's safe for him and provides good shelter. Yes, I will work more on the borders also and I think it will need to be taller too.... what sort of lip do you guys mean? Like a small flat board nailed on it so he can't climb over?

He has a shallow water dish in there that he soaks in, but who knows what changes I will make once I figure things out more as I go.
