Hi all, l’ve recently acquired two pancake tortoise sub adults. They’re about 5” in length, eats well, climbs/hides well, very active when soaked and sunned.

But i’m curious and a little concern, do these fellas have sunken eyes or do their eyes generally look like it’s sunken and a little menacing? A7C152ED-43C1-4D16-9262-A99D05DBB304.jpeg 94AE8251-0891-49CD-8A5B-EE7C852AFF2B.jpeg

The one in the first image looks great. The one in the second image might have slightly sunken eyes, but it could also be an artifact of the different angle of the picture.

Both look alert and good to me as best as I can tell.

Menacing, I see them as cautious maybe even fearful. I like pancakes, one of my favorites.
