outside/inside housing

OK so I am using my old cage for the outside cage till we get one built for our new tort.The only thing missing is the lock to make sure nothing gets in it.
The tank is set up with rabbit pellets on basking side which has been in the 95 area,the red thing is water dish, and coco coir about 4 inches thick for the cooler side about 70 humidity has been about 50%.I put the border around it so the tort will not have the whats on the other side madness.this is primarily for either a Hermann,greek or black greek.

Get rid of the rabbit pellets, they are the worse substrate to use. The coconut coir can be used in the whole enclosure.

Thank you for that info! Was I being over protective by putting the no see out the aquarium boarder ? Most literature I have read says that if the tort sees out that it can be unhealthy for them to continuous want to get out?

Most people do block them from seeing through the glass. Otherwise some will do nothing but pace and bang trying to get through.

I have done a little revamping to the tank got rid of rabbit pellets, going to add some more plants,and temp gauges, is it ok to have 2 water dishes? and hopefully soon a tort

So I had to clean out tank completely due to ants. not exactly sure where they came from maybe one of the plants that I had previously. Oh well everything was changed including all the potting soil in each pot! And here is tank now just gagging the temps in all directions with the water inside. Seems to be good
