I like the idea of our new store with shirt, mousepads, mugs, etc, but I think I'd feel more inclined to buy stuff if the design was a bit more complex. It's just a tad too simple for me...

Hmmm... More complex how? Do you have something in mind? Maybe others feel the same way. I can add as many designs to the store as I want so let's drum up some different ideas! Thanks for the feedback!

Personally, I like the simplicity of the design. That's one of the reasons I purchased the shirt in the first place.

The thing for me is that I have a couple of friends who do screen printing. I could basically print the design from the store off my computer and have them print it for me for a couple bucks. Here's my thinking, "If I could duplicate this design on my computer and get it for cheaper, why buy it?"

Maybe include some designs that actually have real pictures of torts/turtles. Have it be more eye catching..make the pictures or TFO logo run across the bottom of the shirt, or over the shoulder, or down the rib cage. Not just the same old generic across the chest printing. Something that makes the shirts unique. Something that stands out. Something that if a passerby saw it, they would want to stop you and ask about it. A conversation piece so to say.

Now I'm not saying flashy or anything, like with the gold/silver foil designs, or the filigree that surrounds the words of many "mainstream" shirts these days. Just something more out of the ordinary.

I do think we should have a shirt contest design, where you can enter say, up to 3 designs per person. I would have a great time drawing up and designing an awesome logo/shirt.

Thanks for your comprehensive reply, Sammi! I think we just might have a t-shirt design contest!

I've hit him up before but I really like the idea of spikethebest working up those stickers into tee's...the artwork is GREAT! If it can't get done, I might throw a few designs out there and see what y'all think. And if sammi can work it up with a screenprinter...all the better. I did a lot of ink drawings for AAZK (American Association of Zoo Keepers) publication ANIMAL KEEPERS FORUM and a few of the covers were screenprinted for tee's

They're a little blurry (too lazy to scan), but you get the picture.

those stickers might be copyright protected, unless spike owns the design.

i dont, but i know who does, and i am 100% sure he would be okay with it if we pay royalties, like I did with the stickers.

Please find out...I'll start up some designs here...but I'd REALLY like to see those stickers on tee's...have I made myself clear?:D

If you gotta mark up the tee's a little to cover his royalties, I doubt anyone here would have a problem with that.

Angi, those are examples of the style of artwork we could use...

Oh....If you changed it then you shouldn't have copy right problems. That could turn out cool.
