Orange mark

A few months ago I noticed a small orange mark on the bottom right hand corner of his shell. I can't remember it being there when I first got him (3 years ago). Plus He has not been near any paint or anything. It certainly doesn't bother me if he has a little marking and it's not affecting him...just wanted to know where it could have came from.

Any ideas?

Also speedy looks like he is changing colour, do tortoise shell colours change when growing?

He must have rubbed on something. Or something rubbed on him…

Yes. They do change color and markings as they grow.
