Orange mark on shell

Hi, my Herman is about 3-4 years old and I recently notice he has a orange mark at the bottom of his shell, I just want to check there’s nothing medically wrong. He doesn’t seem sick he’s eating and going to the toilet. His energy levels also don’t seem to have changed

I see the orange spot, and I doubt it's anything to worry about. Your tortoise looks like he's healthy and happy.

Other keepers will be on in the morning, and I'm sure will offer their opinions.

Are you certain it won't wash off with a toothbrush scrubbing? We've had several posts with weird growths and discolorations that were healed with a toothbrush. ?

Yes I had noticed it will giving him a little scrub and thought it might have been food as he had tomatoes recently, but it hasn’t moved. He’s had about 4 baths since I first noticed it and I have given it a scrub every time but nothing changed?
