I have recently come into possession of a LOT of this stuff, and was wondering if anyone else has fed this to their torts. The pads get huge and don't feel tough at all, spineless too. Here's a pic of the average pad (not my pic)

I'm going to plant most of the big stuff & feed the rest. I also got a lot of the normal spineless opuntia. Once it starts growing, I think I'm gonna have to give some away to avoid overgrowth :D
No more wrestling with spines though 0_o

I asked a bit ago about a cactus type and from understanding of the input, all types of opuntia are edible for us and torts alike.
I could be wrong though. But that's what I gathered. I have a different kind growing crazy here (south florida) and posted to have it ID'ed. I haven't fed it to her yet though.

What a nice looking cactus! From the species descriptions I've read, seems like a fun cacti to cultivate. Hopefully I can get my hands on some in the near future!
