Well you know I LOVE this sort of thread. As several others noted, its a great way for all of us to learn a whole bunch of stuff. Also, anybody can buy and raise a sulcata or leopard and do this, but to see it with an Aldabra is something very special. Most of us will never own or have much contact with either of the two true giants. I would consider it a great honor and privilege for us to get to see this.
I did threads like this just to show what I was doing and what the results are, good or bad. I've learned a lot from the experience and sharing it with everyone here has only increased what I've learned.

I think it's a wonderful idea. Even when it's a species many people have or one that a person has themselves, each and every one is interesting and unique to watch grow and evolve.
