Very cool pic. I can't tell, do you know what kind of tort is was/is. Do you know,if its still alive?
No dont know what kind he was I was very young at the time and unfortunalty they are both gone

Very Nice Picture, That's one to treasure. I love old family pictures. I have collected pictures of deceased family members from relatives for many years. The internet has made it much easier to do.

What a wonderful photograph to have and how sweet that you have a shared love of shelled creatures with her My husbands grandfather was a keeper of boxturtles and a single leopard tortoise most of which are in our care today and I wish more than anything I could spend just an afternoon with him, walking the pens and showing him how everyone is doing now. I bet your grandmother would be thrilled to know you are so enthusiastic about something so close to her heart!
