I didn't know they could eat green beans either, heck I don't even eat green beans (hate them actually).

It's a bean, so does it count as a protein? or a green? Dumb question, I know.

I chop a little bit of green beans up fpr my CDTs every once in a while, Is that okay? They seem more like a veggies with a strange name than a bean to me.

Nova is a cutie, and I bet she is getting very spoiled by her new mom:)

Could Nove eat a regular bean like a pinto ,northern or lima? A red Foot is suposed to have some protien. Could a little bit of bean be a subsitute for animal protien? I hope I am not high jacking Marty's post, but I am asking about Red Foots and I bet Marty will have the answer:)

A Redfoot should get their protien from animal source. That is where they get their vit d from also since they are not huge baskers. Mine usually come out before the light comes on and after it shuts off... lol. Per the caresheet I follow http://www.turtletary.com/redfootcare.htm, shouldn't give them plant protien and limit the animal protien to once per week.

Thanks for sharing the photos of Nova. I'm enjoying looking at everyone's babies while I await the arrival of mine on the 12th.
