This is a clutch of hets hatching with a little, and I mean little, hitchhiker in one of the eggs. They're joined at the yolk, but not conjoined. Weird!

Wow... Did you do anything to the yolk? Any surgery??

No, I was scared to even touch them. I just made a hole in the perlite and buried them down deep. Hopefully they'll feel comfortable and just let it absorb.

Ebenhack says to use dental floss to separate the yolk into even halves. I've never done it, but I know a few people who have, and I kinda look forward to the chance one day. I better start hatching more turtles if I want that chance though. Story of my life :-/

I would be scared to touch them too! But I have heard of people separating it. I would imagine it would have to get separated (just a guess though).
