Night time

Hi guys just a quick message what time generally do you guys turn lamps off ?

I change the time for the seasons. I turn them off around sunset time.

I use timers. Much better for the tortoise to have consistency. For temperate species I tend to mimic the seasons and really shorten up the days just before I hibernate them.

For tropical species I go 12-13 hours every day all year long.

Tidgy goes to bed and the lights are put out at the time of the Maghrib prayer, just after sunset and before the twilight disappears.

I run my lights 14 hours a day. No hibernation here.

When they're outside for the summer they put themselves to bed.

7 am to 7 pm , 2 hours outside which we are gradually increasing .
