New to the world of tortoises

Question, ok so on the mission of trying to determine the around about age of my two tortoises Megatron's shell is about 6inches and Grimlock is about 5 inches. Does that give any clues?

Really many will tell you they often grow at different rates; genetics, early care, and individual differences abound. My guess would be certainly under 2. But they could be as young as 12 months. I reduced a sulcata that is supposed to be 2 yo but is only 2.3 lbs. it varies. I've heard of 2 yo that are over 8 lbs !

They look healthy. If you feed them right, get sun and exersize they will grow fast enough.

Question has anyone heard of the food company named Mazuri? My wife asked if it's safe to feed our baby Sulcatas this? I looked at the comi on line and they are very highly rated. Any thoughts

Yes. Many use Mazuri. I use the standard one ( bigger pellets) & wet them 2-3x / week. Good supplement to overall diet
