You could add some of the type of bugs that eat your "mites." I think that rolly pollys eat them, but I wouldn't swear to it. The moist substrate and rotting food stuffs are what attract the tiny creatures. I have them too. And while I couldn't imagine having them walk all over ME like they do the babies, they aren't harmful and don't bite.

:D Yvonne, you rock! I'm off to collect rollie pollies, which besides potentially helping with the tiny bug problem, is something she could eat--or at least have the opportunity. She's doing better with her jaw as she gets bigger and stronger. She got mad when my son was rinsing food off her shell and tried to bite, it was really cute, but also encouraging. I think I'll throw in some earthworms while I'm at it.
