While out walking my pasture fences (I have a goat escaping!) I came across what's left of an old pine tree I cut down at least 15 years ago. I thought some of the pieces were not just beautiful but would also make perfect hides for the tortoises. Here are some of the pieces I turned into hides. I also placed a few in their yards just for decoration.
I did use a hammer and chisel to hollow some of them out a little more.

I'd love to see your habitats in person. The pictures are great and the natural hiding places, especially with the tortoises peeking out - just beautiful!

They look fantastic. Sir Percy sure loves it. Looking so handsome peeking out. Does Princess Penelope always have her mouth open? Seems I have seen quite a few like that. Bossy girl ha.:D

Oh, did the cakes get any new hides or ornaments?

This is awesome!! Looks great. I might try this too although do you thing quenching in boiling water would get rid of any bugs for an indoor enclosure?
