New Natural Hides

While out walking my pasture fences (I have a goat escaping!) I came across what's left of an old pine tree I cut down at least 15 years ago. I thought some of the pieces were not just beautiful but would also make perfect hides for the tortoises. Here are some of the pieces I turned into hides. I also placed a few in their yards just for decoration.
I did use a hammer and chisel to hollow some of them out a little more.

in the sixth picture it looks like the tortoise is yelling at you to get off their lawn. haha

They look fantastic. Sir Percy sure loves it. Looking so handsome peeking out. Does Princess Penelope always have her mouth open? Seems I have seen quite a few like that. Bossy girl ha.

This is awesome!! Looks great. I might try this too although do you thing quenching in boiling water would get rid of any bugs for an indoor enclosure?
