Hello- I recently adopted a six year year old yellow footed tortoise. I have always loved tortoises and am excited about the new addition. We live in florida and are keeping her outside.IMG_3734.PNG

Hello and welcome. You do have a heat source available for when you get those colder days right? The house in the pic is a good source, but should have a door on it that can be locked shut and heated for the cold times. Also most will put their torts in at night time and locked up to ward off harm from predators and theft

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

Like Barb said, put up vinyl strips to cover the door. Also, place a brick or piece of wood on the ground in front of the doorway to make it easier for the tortoise to go in and out.

The tortoise is going to need a moist and humid environment. I can't really see what kind of substrate you have inside that house, but it doesn't look like something you can keep comfortably moist - something the tortoise can burrow into.
