I am a new member living in Maricopa County in Arizona. I got my Sulcata, "Pokey" when someone found it by the side of the road, offered it to my brother-in-law who was not interested, and asked me if I wanted it. I had thought about having a tortoise before but didn't know anything about them and didn't pursue it. I am very happy I said I would take it. I have it in a 10 gallon aquarium and believe it may be time to move up to something bigger. It is about 6-7 months old and growing well. I am happy to have found this site because I know only one other person with Sulcatas and don't have much contact with them.

Hello and welcome. I'd love to see a pic too.

I'd give him a warm water soak. He might have gotten thirsty out there on the road.

Welcome! The Enclosures section has some great ideas for enclosures, such as tortoise tables (wood boxes), plastic tubs, livestock water tanks, etc.
